Achievements coming in Chapter 1
As a little teaser, I just wanted to announce that Achievements have been implemented and will roll out in Chapter 1. It is a simple process, and they will unlock from time to time at certain events and/or milestones. They will directly be tied to the save, and not will not system-wide unlocks. Each save/character will maintain their own independent list of achievements.
The notification framework from Chapel's Github was critical to resolve the sliding notification creation. They have no other association with this project.
A new option will be on the menu, and will display what is unlocked.
- The conclusion of each Chapter and Prologue will generate an achievement. These will always be visible even when locked.
- Certain milestone or choices will generate an achievement; these will generally not be visible until unlocked.
In the current draft iteration, older saves will not update to reflect where achievements would already be unlocked in the Prologue. In the interest of not having people replay the Prologue just to collect the achievements I am looking at trying to detect and unlock them.
